The all-new SUV will be positioned below the Karoq.

Skoda has shown its latest future SUV concept, which it calls the Vision X. The sketches point to what will be a hybrid small SUV that the carmaker will launch next year.

The Czech carmaker calls this concept an 'urban SUV'. It will be positioned under the Karoq and Kodiaq and could feature similar styling elements. The Vision X will be built on the MQB A0 platform and for now, the names Amiq and Anuq have been trademarked in the past, but Skoda may not buck the convention here for having cars named starting with the letter 'K' and ending with a 'Q'.

Engines could be a mix of 1.0 and 1.5 TSI engines and the 1.6 TDI could also power this car. There are no details yet on the car’s hybrid powertrain. The Karoq will make its way to India soon.
