A man of principles and ethics, SA Bobde's love for a bike is out in the domain. He took over the reins in November 2019. Justice Bobde in his interviews to various media outlets in the past had made admission about his love for motorcycles. The CJI had suffered a small accident recently when he was taking his bike out for a spin. This caused one of India’s most powerful men to take rest and miss the court proceedings for a while. A self-confessed Royal Enfield Bullet fan, CJI Bobde was clicked riding the Harley Davidson's limited Edition bike 'CVO 2020. Some vigilantes found out the bike belonged to Rohit Sonbaji Musale, son of BJP leader Sonba Musale in Nagpur.
The powerful Harley Davidson motorcycle is powered by the 2000cc, V-Twin engine churning out 166Nm of Torque. The bike comes with a price tag of Rs 51 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Double cylinder engine is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The limited edition CVO 2020 is equipped with twin brakes and anti-locking braking system as standard.
