Indian judiciary is widely respected for its inherent ability to deliver judgements within the scope of law and humanity. With such responsibilities on its shoulders, the Indian judiciary is often overworked and is always under a glare of spotlight from the citizens, media and activists. On Sunday, Indian judiciary found itself trending on social media for a good reason though. Chief Justice of India, Sharad Arvind Bobde was spotted riding a powerful Harley Davidson motorcycle and it went viral on social media.

CJI is conducting the hearings on various cases with the help of video conferring. Recently, CJI Bobde-led bench refused to give permission for the famous Lord Jagannath Yatra as he believed everyone has to follow the necessary precautions in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak. A man of principles and ethics, SA Bobde's love for a bike is out in the domain. He took over the reins in November 2019. Justice Bobde in his interviews to various media outlets in the past had made admission about his love for motorcycles. The CJI had  suffered a small accident recently when he was taking his bike out for a spin. This caused one of India’s most powerful men to take rest and miss the court proceedings for a while.  A self-confessed Royal Enfield Bullet fan, CJI Bobde was clicked riding the Harley Davidson's limited Edition bike 'CVO 2020. Some vigilantes found out the bike belonged to Rohit Sonbaji Musale, son of BJP leader Sonba Musale in Nagpur.

The powerful Harley Davidson motorcycle is powered by the 2000cc, V-Twin engine churning out 166Nm of Torque. The bike comes with a price tag of Rs 51 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Double cylinder engine is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The limited edition CVO 2020 is equipped with twin brakes and anti-locking braking system as standard.

Justice Bobde is the 47th Chief Justice of the country as he succeeded Ranjan Gogoi. CJI Bobde earned praise and acclaim for resolving the complex Ram Janmabhoomi - Babri Masjid dispute that has been in a logjam for years now.
