The leading car manufacturer Tata Motors has updated the Safari premium SUV with new features. The SUV's variants have gained certain features and lost some as part of the update. Tata Motors has majorly updated the Tata Safari Pure variant. In India, the Tata Safari SUV is available at a starting price of INR 15.49 lakh, and it goes up to INR 25.09 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Safari Feature Update
The Tata Safari Pure variant will now miss out on features like armrests, AC vents for the third row, roof lights for the third and second rows, TPMS, spare wheel, and LED lights. At the same time, the Pure variant of the Tata Safari SUV now comes equipped with features like a shark-fin antenna, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a reverse parking camera. In the Tata Safari, the manual unit has replaced the auto-dimming IRVM.

Tata Safari Pure Variants
The Pure variants of the Tata Safari SUV are available at INR 16.99 lakh and go up to INR 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV's Pure variants have proven to be the most affordable Safari models. However, many customers might not go for the Pure trims because some of the most important comfort and convenience features have been removed. Those who want these features could choose the more expensive, higher trims.
Tata Safari Powertrain
Under the hood, the Tata Safari SUV draws power from a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that is tuned to churn out a peak power of 168 bhp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. The unit is mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic and a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Tata Safari is likely to receive the 1.5-litre TGDi petrol engine.
