The new Honda City rival will be built on the AMP platform.

Tata has released a teaser of a new sedan concept that'll debut at the 2018 Geneva motor show. The new sedan will be built on the company’s Advanced Modular Platform (AMP).

The car is expected to be quite stylish to look at and will have a more dramatic, coupé-like roofline. The car will be designed using the company’s new Impact 2.0 design language. The sedan will be as spacious and practical as well. The company says that it will be roomy, have a sizeable boot and get the latest in-car connectivity features.

The production version of this car will feature more powerful versions of the Revotron petrol and Revotorq diesel engines. Tata is also looking at adding a dual-clutch automatic transmission as an option. This car could also feature some form of electrification in the future as well.

This project will require an estimated input of ₹400 crore and for now, it hasn’t been given the green light for production just yet. The company will unveil the concept at the upcoming Geneva motor show.
