Tesla Model 3 Scores 5-Stars In NHTSA Crash Tests

Tesla has always been at the front when it comes to crash protection of their vehicles.

The Tesla Model 3 scores 5-stars in the crash test done by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). With this, all cars of Tesla have scored 5-star rating in the crash test.

The Tesla Model 3 went through frontal, side and rollover crash tests, and it scored 5-stars in each of them. The frontal crash test involves a simulation of a head-on collision at 56 km/hr. The side test involves a pole test and a movable barrier collision at 62 km/hr. However, in the rollover test, the risk of rollover with a single vehicle is measured.

The Tesla Model 3 comes equipped with frontal collision warning, imminent crash braking, lane departure warning and dynamic brake support as standard. Along with Model 3, the Model X also received a 5-star rating.
