Citroen has followed in the footsteps of other popular carmakers who released dark editions in 2025. The Citroen Basalt Dark Edition is expected to launch soon.
This coupe-SUV will likely feature an all-black design theme with a complementary interior. The new car features may be based on the top variant of this model.
There is no confirmed date, but the car is expected to launch early next month in April 2025. This compact SUV can compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and the Tata Curvv.

The Basalt Dark Edition is expected to retain the 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine fitted in the top-spec Max Turbo variant. It could deliver a power output of 108 bhp, torque figures of 195 Nm in manual and 205 Nm in automatic. It will be driven with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
