Mirabai Chanu, the ace weightlifter from North-Eastern state of Manipur, has been grabbing all the eyeballs due to her remarkable feat at the Tokyo Olympics 2021. Chanu ended the country's drought of 21 years of not winning an Olympic weightlifting medal by scoring a Silver medal in the 49-kg category. And, to felicitate this unbeliveable achievement, HOP Electric Mobility has presented her with its LEO and LYF range of electric two-wheelers. Both the electric scooters come with a range of 125 kilometres on a full charge.
Boasting of a 72V electric motor, HOP LYF and HOP LEO come with a loading capacity of 180 kgs while equipped with features such as parking assistance, side stand sensor, three ride modes with reserve mode, LED console, USB charging, remote key, anti-theft alarm and anti-theft wheel lock. In addition, internet and GPS connectivity are also offered as standard features. The electric scooters come with a boot space capacity of 19.5 litres. With Ketan Mehta as CEO & Founder, HOP Electric Mobility is now a 50+ member team with Vivek Tomar joining as a Business Head, Rajneesh Singh as Head of Marketing, Avinash Choudhary as North India Regional manager, among others.
Speaking on this occasion, the CEO and founder of HOP Electric Mobility, Ketan Mehta said, “We understand what difficulties athletes go through. Nothing is served to them on a silver platter. Right from the start, these athletes have to train themselves, complete studies, resolve financial difficulties, compete in initial level competitions and whatnot. After tons of challenges and jaw-breaking hurdles, they finally get the opportunity to compete in the Olympics and win a medal. We at HOP are incredibly proud of our sports stars representing India at such a prestigious forum. As our humble token of gratitude, we aspire to equip Mirabai Chanu with sustainable and ecologically sound two-wheelers, which are more accessible and convenient for transportation, thus adding value to her overall independence.”
