The update adds new maps for navigation and is available for free on older models.

The company has released a software update for its Smart Play infotainment system, which adds Android Auto and new maps for the navigation system.

Before this move, the only Maruti’s that offered both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay were the Ignis and the Dzire. The Baleno, Ciaz, Ertiga, Vitara Brezza and S-cross offered SmartPlay in some variants but offered only Apple CarPlay.

Owners of older cars can contact their respective Maruti Suzuki dealerships to get this update for free. The update, which includes the new maps, is valid until 2020.
