Renault India has presented ace weightlifter and #TokyoOlympics2020 Silver Medalist Saikhom Mirabai Chanu with a Kiger subcompact SUV. Mr. Sudhir Malhotra, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Renault India handed over the keys of the brand new Renault Kiger to Mirabai Chanu. The company had recently completed 10 years of operations in the Indian market and to commemorate the big day, it introduced the all new RXT (O) variant of the Kiger sub 4-m SUV. Mirabai Chanu hails from a village in East Imphal, Manipur.

Renault Kiger Features & Engine

Renault Kiger is equipped with several premium features in the form of tri-octa LED pure vision headlamps, C-shaped signature LED tail-lamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, air-purifier and an 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. It has been offered with a total of five personalization packs namely SUV, Attractive, Essential, Smart, and Smart Plus. The SUV is available with a choice of two petrol engines: a 1.0L naturally aspirated unit and a 1.0L turbocharged motor. The former develops 72 bhp and 96 Nm while the latter belts out 100 bhp and 160 Nm. A 5-speed manual transmission comes as standard with both the engines while the 5-speed AMT and X-tronic CVT units can be availed as an option with the 1.0L naturally aspirated and 1.0L turbocharged engines, respectively.
