Toyota Fortuner Facelift has been spied wearing camouflage in Thailand. The first set of images have been surfaced online ahead of its mid-2020 World Premiere. While its India launch is still sometimes away, the leaked images give a clear idea of what to expect from the mid-cycle update of Toyota's popular SUV.
Cosmetically, the Toyota Fortuner Facelift is likely to get a bumper and grille design that’s now in line with newer Toyota SUVs like the RAV4 and Raize. The slimmer grille gets glossy black bits instead of the chrome trim. The bumper gets triangle-shaped faux air intakes on each corner. It also features the sharper LED headlamp units and the skid plate that gets a gloss black finish. The rear end also provides minor updates. These include a mildly restyled bumper and tail-lamp inserts.
There is no information on what the interior will have to offer as not much has been revealed yet. But believe it is expected to get updated upholstery and cabin layout with a new touchscreen infotainment system. The Fortuner SUV Facelift for India is likely to get the BS6-compliant versions of Toyota's current 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre diesel engines.
The Fortuner Facelift is expected to make its India entry sometime later this year, after its debut in the ASEAN market. In the Indian market, the facelift will compete with the likes of the Ford Endeavour and the Isuzu MU-X.
