Toyota Fortuner has been the best-selling premium SUV in India for more than a decade. It has been racking up the numbers in the sales charts for years now. But with rising competition and newer models entering the market, the Fortuner has started to look somewhat basic in terms of the features it has to offer. To address this, Toyota Kirloskar Motors is all set to launch a Special Edition of its popular SUV soon.
The Fortuner Limited Edition is expected to be priced slightly premium over the standard SUV. Despite being upgraded to the BS6 norms, the standard SUV is still priced the same as the BS4 model in the range of Rs 28.18 lakhs - Rs 33.95 lakhs (ex-showroom). The company is expected to raise the price of BS6 Toyota Fortuner over the coming months.
The Toyota Fortuner Limited Edition will receive more features than the standard SUV. Similar to the Toyota Innova Crysta Leadership Edition, this Limited Edition of Toyota Fortuner will get an additional equipment list. They could probably comprise of a 360-degree camera, auto-folding outside rearview mirrors to mention a few.
A 1.5-liter petrol engine and a 6-speed torque converter were fitted to the Figo / Aspire AT which will pause existing engine options. The AT was only offered in a single Titanium version on both models. Ford was able to implement the AT in both models with the 1.2 liter Dragon petrol engine.
