Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has started teasing its forthcoming Urban Cruiser Taisor, which is based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx crossover. The new Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is all set to be unveiled in India on April 3, 2024. The brand has shared a teaser image of its new five-seater car. The compact SUV is hidden behind the ‘Make Your Way’ graphics, which are the focal point of the teaser. Over the past few years, the Japanese auto marque has been unveiling newer versions of Maruti Suzuki cars in the country as part of its global partnership with Maruti Suzuki for mutual use of platform and technology.
The recent teaser picture provides a glimpse of the new SUV’s exterior. The upcoming SUV is finished in a red hue with a redesigned grille and a new pair of LED daytime running lights. In terms of design language, it comes with reshaped LED headlamps, a revised front, redesigned taillamps, and a rear bumper. The compact Urban Cruiser Taisor rolls on a new pair of alloy wheels. As seen in the picture, the SUV will have the same sloping roofline and squarish wheel arches as the Suzuki Fronx model.

The auto giant has not revealed any details regarding the interior of the SUV. However, inside the cabin, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is expected to be as feature-packed as the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. It is likely to come loaded with features like a 360-degree surround camera, wireless smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, automatic climate control, a wireless charger, and ambient lighting. The company is also expected to update the upholstery and seat materials to set it apart from the Fronx.
Under the hood, the Taisor will continue to draw power from the same engine as the Fronx. The compact SUV is likely to come in both petrol-CNG bi-fuel options and petrol-only choices. After its official launch, the Urban Cruiser Taisor will rival the likes of Maruti Fronx, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Kia Kiger, and Mahindra XUV300.
