The updated configurator aids the riders in finding the best accessories and kits that suit their motorcycle

Triumph Motorcycles India has launched a new and improved customization feature on their official website for Indian buyers. The new upgraded feature will aid a buyer in customizing his or her bike with various accessories available on the website. Currently, the British bike manufacturer’s line-up in the country comprises a total of 16 motorcycles. It includes modern classics, adventure motorcycles, iconic Rocket 3R and newly-launched Rocket 3GT.  All these models can be customized according to the requirement of the customer.

Talking about the recent customization feature launch, Shoeb Farooq, Business Head Triumph Motorcycles India, said “Riders like their motorcycles to be a reflection of their personality, making their machines stand apart personifying them. The new online customization is our approach towards a digital business strategy- with the technology available at the swipe of a finger, the Triumph online customization will enable buyers to customize their motorcycle even from their mobile devices giving them a visual of how the machine will look with the chosen accessories. The wide variety of accessory categories can overwhelm when choosing in-shop, however digitally, it enables riders to try various combinations to know exactly how the motorcycle will look once the customization is done”.

Now to discuss the new configurator set-up, it showcases a 180-degree view of any Triumph motorcycle. Under the new feature, the buyer can add the selected accessory to the bike giving him a real-time view of the motorcycle. Also, he or she can view the total cost of the motorcycle fitted with the selected accessory and move forward to the purchase stage. Accessories are available for various purposes like luggage, electricals, comfort, performance, styling, riding protection among others. Plus there is the option of selecting a specific colour to any accessory. It’s not just accessories, the  user can also purchase motorcycle-specific kits. The new configurator helps the buyer in finding out how the kits look on the motorcycle. Having selected the necessary fitments, the buyer can then save the customization and forward it to the dealership. On receiving the request, the showroom will then fit the required accessories and kit before delivering the vehicle to the customer.

Besides this, last month Triumph Trident 660 bookings were also announced at a token amount of Rs 50,000. The British brand then had announced that the booking amount is 100 percent refundable until the time of its price reveal. The upcoming Trident 660 will be sold in four paint schemes namely Silver Ice & Diablo Red, Crystal White, Matt Jet Black & Matt Silver Ice and Sapphire Black. It will be powered by a 660cc, inline 3-cylinder engine that would churn out  80 bhp of power and 64 Nm torque. Transmission duty will be taken care by a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper/assist clutch.
