Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the all-new Rocket 3 GT at an introductory price of Rs 18.40 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. The bookings for the motorcycle are open now while it is available in Silver Ice & Storm Grey or Phantom Black colour options. Triumph Rocket 3 GT gets a new Inspiration Kit called the Highway alongside 50 new accessories. Being the most expensive product in the British bikemaker's portfolio in India, it will directly rival Ducati Diavel 1260 in the Indian market.
Triumph Rocket 3 GT styling elements include muscular sculpted fuel tank with central recess, brushed stainless steel tank strap & Monza-style cap, plus brushed aluminium air-box cover, and brushed aluminium Monza-style coolant & oil caps. In addition, there is a forward foot control set-up offering three horizontal position settings, plus an adjustable pillion backrest & an extended flyscreen. The company has also equipped the motorcycle with a new deep growling triple soundtrack for the engine. The Rocket 3 GT also boasts of a colored TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and GoPro control options. Some other features include Hill Hold control, cruise control and keyless ignition
Mechanically, Triumph Rocket 3 GT is powered by a BS6 compliant 2500cc Triple engine which is the largest production motorcycle engine in the world. It churns out a top power of 164bhp at 6000rpm which is 11 percent higher than the previous-gen model. The engine delivers a torque performance of 221Nm at 4000rpm which is the highest for any production motorcycle in the world and approx. 71 percent more than the closest competition. It is nearly 40 kgs lighter than the previous-gen model while weighing at 294 kgs. The Rocket 3 GT is the touring variant of the Rocket 3R which was launched earlier in December 2019. Triumph is the only premium manufacturer in Indian to have the largest BS-VI portfolio consisting of 13 motorcycles in its fleet.
