Indian buyers can look forward to a new motorcycle launch. With the introduction of Rocket 3 GT, the British motorcycle giant will add a new touring model to their product portfolio in India. Triumph Rocket 3 is currently priced at Rs 18 lakhs (ex-showroom) India, so we can expect the GT model to retail at Rs 18.50 lakhs (ex-showroom). In its segment, Triumph Rocket 3 GT will compete directly with Ducati Diavel 1260. This would be the most expensive product in the line-up after the inclusion of new Tiger 900 and Street Triple R. In the international markets, Triumph sells the Rocket 3 GT in a dual-tone silver ice and storm grey colour scheme with Korosi Red pinstripe decal.
So what we can expect from the new bike? The manufacturer has modified the position of the footpegs and the handle-bar to give a relaxed riding position for the rider. Plus, the new bike comes with a taller windscreen, adjustable pillion footrests and backrest followed by heated grips. Triumph Rocket 3 GT's key highlights are slash-cut exhausts, single-sided swingarm, cropped rear fender and twin-led headlamps. It also comes equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled coloured TFT dashboard with GoPro control options.
The weight of the tourer stands at 294 kgs which is 3 kgs lighter than the Rocket 3 R model. The Rocket 3GT is powered by a massive 2500cc inline-three cylinder engine. The powertrain produces 165 bhp of maximum power output and 221 Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle is equipped with 47mm Showa USD forks up front while the rear stands to provide monoshock. Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers in the front and rear take care of the braking duties. Indian buyers can expect 4 riding modes, traction control system and cornering Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) on-board this bike.
