Formerly known as the Akula 310 concept, the Apache RR 310S is one of the most highly anticipated motorcycles of 2017. Images of the near-final production version show that the bike isn’t drastically different from the concept shown at Auto Expo 2016.
As witnessed on the Apache RTRs, TVS’ could favour solid paint work over too many graphics for its new bike. The fuel tank appears quite tall and muscular, and the front fairing should provide adequate protection against wind blast. There’s a massive tail light unit that looks striking too.
The bike will most likely feature LED daytime running lights, as well as HID projector headlights. Just like on the concept model, the final instruments will be an all-digital affair. The bike does get clip-on handlebars and will feature a riding position that is far from aggressive and might be in favour of long-distance touring.
There are golden-coloured upside down forks up front and a disc brake setup at both ends. The bike will most likely be equipped with dual-channel ABS when it goes on sale. No mechanical details have been revealed but the bike will be powered by the same 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor from the BMW G310 R.
The RR 310S was originally slated for an early 2017, but it may hit showrooms by the middle of this calendar year.
