The Bangalore-based EV startup Ultraviolette has launched its new DC fast-charging network called UV Supernova. The manufacturer has unveiled two fast charging options for users: 6 kW and 12 kW charging networks; the former is named Supernova, while the latter is Supernova Plus.
In the first wave of station deployment, the EV maker will deploy over 100 Supernova and Supernova Plus Fast Charging stations. Currently, ten charging stations have already made their mark in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. The company has strategically selected locations, like major highways alongside popular cafes, to provide a more enhanced and convenient experience to its customers.
All the new Supernova DC fast charging stations will get Type 6 connectors, which are based on the BIS-assured IS17017-2-6 (IEC 62196-6) Standard. The Ultraviolette 6 kW charging stations are equipped with twin 3 kW DC fast charging guns, whereas the 12 kW charging stations feature dual 6 kW DC fast charging guns. Both networks are also compatible with the Boost charger that one can select for the F77.

Tesla is recalling 1,337 2023 Model S, Model X, and Model Y vehicles to repair misaligned cameras that may cause forward collision avoidance and other semi-autonomous technologies to fail unexpectedly. Tesla's partially automatic drive software is dependent on external cameras to function successfully, rather than the more common use of radar/lidar for redundant safety. A misplaced camera can render Tesla's systems completely inoperable.
