At the upcoming Auto Expo 2020, Volkswagen A0 SUV will make its global debut and take on the likes of the Kia Seltos and the new Hyundai Creta.

The countdown for the Auto Expo 2020 has started and Volkswagen has fired its canon by displaying a teaser showing four SUVs without, of course, revealing the identity of the vehicles. Okay, as the four SUVs— the A0 Crossover, T-Roc, Tiguan Allspace, and the ID — it's an open secret. Electric SUV from Crozz. The most awaited SUV line-up has to be the A0 SUV, which is essentially an Indian-spec T-Cross and will take on the big players like the existing market champion, the Kia Seltos, and the new Hyundai Creta, which will also be unveiled in the upcoming Auto Expo.

The T-Cross-based SUV will be more economical and longer than its Chinese equivalent, based on the MQB A0 IN architecture. The latest SUV will maintain the traditional strong Volkswagen style that is quite noticeable on the T-Cross but expect the German automaker to spruce it up a little to make it look luxurious.

Next is the all-space of Tiguan. It's longer and bigger than the Tiguan available in India. The Allspace is a seven-seater with plenty of space in the cabin. While the second row provides more room than the Tiguan, it is the third row that earns brownie points as it is almost as spacious as the Kodiaq Skoda. The Allspace, like the Tiguan, is expected to be powered by the 141bhp 2-liter diesel engine.

The T-Roc is a small SUV that will be priced below the Tiguan, taking on the likes of the Jeep Compass. This will surely be a challenge for Volkswagen as the T-Roc enters the Indian market through the CBU road. Only in petrol will this SUV be available.

Finally, in the line-up, the most advanced SUV is the ID. Crozz, which was shown for the first time in 2017 at auto shows in both Shanghai and Frankfurt. I.D. based on the framework of the MEB. Crozz is a zero-emission four-wheel drive SUV with a top speed of 180 km / h and a power output of 225 kW, with a battery charging range of up to 500 km.

Speaking on the announcement, Mr Steffen Knapp, Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said, "We understand and in-line with our Indian customers ' rapidly changing tastes, we will launch one of our largest lineup of Indian shores offensive SUVs. The forthcoming carlines will redefine their respective categories while retaining protection at the forefront, meeting the needs of our discerning Indian customers.
