The electric sports coupe from Volvo’s hybrid and EV arm will be on sale in 2019.

Polestar, Volvo’s performance arm, showcased its 1 electric sports coupe at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and this is the first time the car has been seen in motion. The 1's online configurator is now live and it lets you pick exterior paint shades to customise your car.

The first model from Polestar will cost around €1,55,000 (approximately Rs 1.23 crore) in Europe when it goes on sale in the middle of 2019, but you will also be able to get the car on a monthly subscription.

Polestar boss, Thomas Ingenlath, said the Polestar will become Volvo’s “technological spearhead”. The company is preparing for an early 2020 launch of the 2 hatchback as well.
