The rugged estate features aggressive styling, 210mm ground clearance and a 235hp D5 diesel engine.

This model adds to Volvo’s 'Cross Country' range in India, which currently features the V40 Cross Country and the S60 Cross Country. What sets the car apart from the standard S90 is its rugged-looking exterior, aggressive bumpers and additional black cladding.

The SUV also comes fitted with 20-inch wheels as standard and with a raised ground clearance of 210mm. This Cross Country variant features all-wheel drive, roof rails and there’s also adaptive air suspension at the rear. Luggage space stands at 560 litres but you can fold the second row down and increase it to 1,526 litres.

Under the hood sits a powerful 235hp D5 motor paired to the same eight-speed automatic gearbox as the standard car. This is a Volvo after all – this V90 comes with a host of safety features such as collision mitigation support (front), park assist function with camera (front and rear), emergency brake assist and lane-keeping aid. There’s also a 12.3-inch driver display, nappa leather upholstery, power adjustable driver and passenger seat with memory, four-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof.
