The new Jetta is the latest model to be built on VW’s MQB platform.

The all-new Jetta will be shown at the upcoming North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) held in Detroit in January 2018. Ahead of its official reveal, VW has released a teaser that shows the car' VW Aerton derived design in its side profile. Volkswagen North America CEO Hinrich Woebcken, stated that the new car will be “super modern” and have an “emotional” design with coupe-like styling. While there has been no news on the engines and transmissions, you can expect the car to share its engines with the VW Tiguan SUV, including a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor, a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. In India, VW recently discontinued the older Jetta and the seventh-gen model is unlikely to come here.
