Hero MotoCorp has declared an upcoming price adjustment for the recently introduced Harley Davidson X440 motorcycle. The bike, which made its debut this July with an initial cost of ₹2.29 lakh (ex-showroom), will see the conclusion of its introductory pricing. The online booking window for the Harley Davidson X440 bike will be closing on August 3rd. Enthusiasts had the opportunity to book the motorcycle starting from July 4th by submitting an upfront fee of ₹5,000.

Starting September 1st, 2023, Hero MotoCorp will initiate nationwide test rides for customers who have pre-booked the motorcycle. The manufacturing of the Harley-Davidson X440 is set to commence in September at Hero MotoCorp's Garden Factory located in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The distribution of customer orders is scheduled to begin in October 2023. Hero MotoCorp clarified that the deliveries will be prioritized based on the order dates.

Collaboratively developed by Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp, the Harley-Davidson X440 bike has been positioned as the most cost-effective choice in Harley-Davidson's lineup, surpassing the Nightster's pricing. Under their partnership, Hero MotoCorp will oversee the motorcycle's sales, service, and merchandise distribution throughout the nation.

Braking for the Harley-Davidson X440 is managed by front and rear disc brakes, alongside dual-channel ABS for added safety. The motorcycle features USD forks at the front and twin gas shock absorbers at the rear to handle suspension duties. Equipped with alloy wheels – an 18-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel – the X440 is fitted with MRF tubeless tires.

Powering the X440 is an air-oil cooled 440 cc engine capable of reaching up to 8,000 RPM, hinting at a potential long-stroke engine design based on initial visual impressions. This brand-new Harley-Davidson model showcases a classic teardrop-shaped fuel tank adorned with iconic badging and is available in various color options, including captivating matte finishes.
