Yamaha India has launched the all-new FZX at a starting price of Rs 1.17 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) in the country. Being the company's first Neo-Retro motorcycle in the Indian market, it has been presented in two variants: Bluetooth and Without Bluetooth. Yamaha FZ-X will be available in the market by the end of June and it will come in three colour choices namely Metallic Blue, Matt Copper and Matt Black. The first 200 Customers online booking the FZ-X will get a limited edition Yamaha G-Shock watch as a token of gratitude from Yamaha.
Staying true to its retro design theme, the FZ-X flaunts a bi-functional round LED headlamp with Daytime LED Running Lamp (DRL) upfront while the rear end is dominated by an LED tail-lamp cluster. The bike boasts of strong metal components which are visible on the fuel tank, side covers, engine guard, headlight stays, the front fender, fender stay, and the grab-bar. Some of the other notable features in the motorcycle include negative LCD console with a Power Socket, lower Engine protector guard, BOSCH single-channel ABS and Side Stand Engine Cut off Switch. The front forks are covered with stylish black color boots. Yamaha FZ-X has a ground clearance of 165 mm while it weighs 139 kgs with a full fuel tank.
The Bluetooth variant gets a Communication Control Unit (1st in India for Yamaha bikes), which is compatible with Yamaha’s dedicated Y-Connect app. The rider can pair the phone via bluetooth and access notifications on the instrument cluster of the bike. Various kinds of infos like maintenance recommendations, track the bike’s last parking location, track fuel consumption and receive malfunction notification can be obtained through this. Furthermore, a special mention goes to 'The Revs Dashboard' feature which displays data such as engine rpm, degree of throttle opening, rate of acceleration, an eco-friendly riding indicator, etc on your smartphone. Yamaha FZ-X is powered by an 149 cc air-cooled 4-stroke Blue Core FI engine which generates top power of 12.3 bhp at 7,250 rpm and peak torque of 13.3 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
