2019 Ford Ranger facelift has been revealed by the American carmaker for the European market. A few months after the Endeavour (Everest) got a facelift, the Ranger pickup has been updated and it gets some aesthetic tweaks inside out along with a new engine option. This update makes the Ranger more fuel efficient and safer thanks to the new driver assistance systems on offer.
The new 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine is being offered in three states of tune with the Raptor. The base manual transmission version produces 130 PS of power and 340 Nm of torque. The model above the base trim offers 170 PS of power and 420 Nm of torque. The range-topping variant is a twin-turbo Raptor sourced engine that churns out 213 PS and 500 Nm, mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
Ford has discontinued the 3.2-litre diesel engine. The new Ranger is loaded with new safety features including Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection and Intelligent Speed Limiter, Active Park Assist, Lane-Keeping Alert, Lane-Keeping Aid, Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Alert and Traffic Sign Recognition.
