2019 Porsche Macan S Launched In The International Market

Porsche has introduced the 2019 model year of the Macan S that comes with a new engine.

Porsche has recently facelifted the Macan and now they have revealed the Macan S which comes with a turbocharged V6 petrol engine. This 3.0-litre turbo V6 engine is also shared with the Cayenne and Panamera. This petrol motor is capable of producing a maximum power output of 349 BHP with a peak torque of 480 Nm. 

This more powerful engine helps the new Macan achieve 0-100 km/hr acceleration in just 5.1 seconds if you opt for the optional Sports Chrono Package. The top speed is 251 km/hr which is quite impressive for SUV standards. The new Macan S is more powerful than the outgoing version, making it more sporty in character.

The German carmaker has also tweaked the chassis for better driving dynamics. Witht the Macan facelift, Porsche has added new features including GT sports steering wheel with integrated drive mode, Traffic Jam Assist system, heated windscreen and air ioniser. We can expect Porsche India to introduce the Macan facelift soon but it'll have a hefty price tag.
