The price starts at Rs 16.99 lakhs and goes as high as Rs 24.49 lakhs for the range-topping variant (all prices, ex-showroom). 2021 MG Hector, on the other hand, falls in the price bracket of Rs 12.90 lakhs -Rs 18.33 lakhs (ex-showroom).

In terms of dimensions, the 2021 Hector is longer, wider, and taller than the Compas facelift. The 2021 MG Hector measures 4655mm in length, 1835mm in width, and 1760mm in height. 2021 Compass facelift, on the other hand, has a length of 4395mm, a width of 1818mm, and a height of 1640mm. Furthermore, Hector facelift gets a wheelbase that measures 2750mm. All in all, MG Hector facelift is bigger than the Compass facelift.

Starting with Compass facelift, it gets a seven-slat honeycomb mesh grille upfront. In addition, the SUV features headlamps with reflectors and LED DRLs. This gives the SUV a bold and aggressive look. Other design bits include body-coloured sill cladding, wheel cladding & bumpers, trapezoidal wheel arches, a large air dam, fog light housing, and alloy wheels. 

2021 MG Hector facelift, on the other hand, gets Thermo Pressed chrome grille, gunmetal skid plates at the rear & front, and dual-tone alloy wheels. A black applique runs between the tail-lamps. Furthermore, there are black inserts on the boot door.

2021 Jeep Compass facelift gets a spacious interior. The new dashboard design gives a modern touch to the cabin. Jeep has equipped the Compass facelift with a plethora of features. These include 8-way powered & ventilated front seats, a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, drive modes and a powered tailgate. There is an all-new 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Jeep’s new UConnect 5 system & connected car technology, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa support. 
 


In contrast, the cabin of the 2021 MG Hector facelift boasts of new dual-tone champagne & black color scheme. The SUV gets the latest version of iSmart connected car tech that supports English & Hinglish commands. Other features include a massive 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, a semi-digital instrument cluster, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, interior ambient lighting, remote control via smartwatch, an auto-dimming IRVM among many others.

Powering both the SUVs is the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. However, the unit on Compass facelift is a bit more powerful. It churns out a maximum power of 170 bhp. While the unit on 2021 MG Hector delivers 168 bhp power. The torque output remains the same. Talking about the transmission, 6-speed manual gearbox comes as standard. The Compass facelift also gets an optional 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The motor can be availed with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT as an option. The 2021 MG Hector facelift, on the other hand, offers a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that belts out 140 bhp power and 250 Nm torque. The MG Hector petrol can be had with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed DCT.
