The updated Royal Enfield Himalayan will get a few additional features and new colour schemes

With the onset of the new year, Chennai-based retro motorcycle brand Royal Enfield will be launching new products every 4 months. The bike maker launched the Meteor 350 a few months back. Now it is all set to launch the updated Himalayan motorcycle towards the end of this month. Ahead of the official launch, an image of the 2021 Himalayan has been leaked online.

The leaked image looks more like a studio shot for the company’s official website. The motorcycle in the image is seen having a new dual-tone colour scheme. One of the dual tone colours looks white in shade. While the other shade turns out to be black in a matte finish. Besides these, the updated Himalayan is also expected to get a new pine green shade. The 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan has been spotted doing test runs on multiple occasions in the past. As per the previous spy shots, the updated motorcycle will get an additional pod on the right side of its existing Digi-analog instrument cluster. This could be the new Tripper Navigation System similar to the one present on the newly launched Meteor 350. Talking about the Tripper Navigation, it is categorically Royal Enfield’s Google-powered turn-by-turn navigation system.

The spy shots also revealed a metal frame that is mounted towards the front of the tank. Features like a USB charger could also be on the cards. Performance-wise, the updated Himalayan is likely to draw its power from the same 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The motor in the current state produces 24.3 bhp power and 33 Nm torque while being mated to a 5-speed gearbox. However, we can expect the 2021 Himalayan to produce more power and torque. Due to feature addition, we can expect the updated motorcycle to be pricier than its predecessor. At present, the bike falls in the price range of Rs 1.91 lakh - Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom).
