Maruti Suzuki has started dispatching the 2024 Swift to its dealerships in Japan. Suzuki showcased the 4th generation Swift at the Japanese Mobility Show last year, and the hatchback is currently on sale in the Japanese market. The automaker will launch the new Swift in India in the coming months. The manufacturing process of the 2024 Swift has commenced, and the carmaker has even started dispatching the new hatchback to its dealers in the Japanese market.
The new Swift hatchback comes in a twin-tone color scheme of white body paint with a black roof. When it comes to design language, the car gets a new pair of LED headlamps, a projector setup, and a smoked effect. It would come with a new grille. The hatchback gets a new set of alloy wheels; however, the overall silhouette is quite similar to the outgoing version. It also comes with a new pair of LED tail lamps and a new bumper.

A notable change in the Japanese model is the inclusion of a camera up front and radar, hinting that the next-generation Swift could feature a 360-degree camera and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions.
The automaker will offer a new engine for the Swift hatchback. The Japanese model will come with the new Z12E Series 3-cylinder strong hybrid mill. The Z12E engine is paired to a CVT automatic transmission. The three-cylinder engine churns out around 80 bhp of maximum power and 108 Nm of peak torque. This unit is slightly less robust than the outgoing Swift model, which puts out 88 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. The new engine provides an enhanced fuel efficiency of 24 kmpl.
