Hero MotoCorp recently launched the most-awaited Xtreme 160R at a starting price of Rs 99,950 (ex-showroom) a couple of days back in the country. Now the bike has started arriving at the brand’s showrooms. Images of the all-new Hero Xtreme 160R in the Hero MotoCorp dealerships have surfaced online. The company launched the motorcycle in two variants namely single disc and twin disc.
In terms of design, the Hero Xtreme 160R is inspired by the bold 1.R Concept that was showcased at the International Automotive Show EICMA in 2019. The bike looks aggressive with its LED headlamp comprising of LED DRL up front. It also gets LED indicators with a hazard switch. At the rear, the two-wheeler gets a smoked signature LED tail-light. Other notable features include a fully-digital LCD display, integrated pillion grab rail, and first-in-segment side stand with engine cut off.
Under the frame, the motorcycle draws power from a BS6 compliant 160cc air-cooled engine that churns out 15 bhp power and 14 Nm peak torque. The engine comes equipped with XSens Technology and Advanced Programmed Fuel-Injection. Suspension duties are taken care by a 37mm telescopic front forks and a 7-step adjustable rear mono-shock. In terms of brakes, the bike gets 270mm front and 220mm rear petal discs. Single ABS comes as a standard feature on this bike.
The BS6 Hero Xtreme 160R is available in three color options namely Sports Red, Pearl Silver White, and Vibrant Blue. The motorcycle is competing against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, Suzuki Gixxer, and Yamaha FZ-Fi in its segment.
