The fifth-generation Sportage SUV is scheduled to be revealed in Korea in July this year.

Kia Corporation has released the first official teaser images of the all-new Sportage. The upcoming SUV will be unveiled in Korea in July this year. As for the India launch, we can expect the new-gen Sportage to arrive in the country anytime soon in the future. It is based on Kia’s new design philosophy - Opposites United.

From the images, we could make out that the upcoming Sportage gets a muscular stance. Furthermore, the detailed crease and lines flowing across the surface can also be seen in the sketch. The front fascia is seen featuring a unique headlamp design with a sharp and sleek look. The SUV will also be seen with a wide front grille with a new Kia logo in the centre. The side profile gets a strong and well-defined silhouette. Moving towards the rear section of the new Sportage, a pair of unique-looking LED lights and a sloping windscreen make it look bold.

The interior design sketch reveals the new dual-screen dashboard. The digital instrument cluster and the infotainment touchscreen sit in a single housing with a wide curved screen display. Furthermore, the passenger side of the dashboard comes with a fin-shaped AC vent near the centre.

“Taking inspiration from an ethos we created where nature meets technology, the all-new Sportage challenges the norm with an adventurous and contemporary exterior and a carefully conceived, beautifully detailed interior. With the all-new Sportage, we were fully focused on challenging ourselves and pushing our fifth-generation SUV to a new level,” as commented by Karim Habib, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Design Center.
