Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon vs Honda SP 125: Price in India

BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon is available in three trims namely Drum, Disc, and Single Seat. The bike has been priced in the range of Rs 70,995 - Rs 79,091 (ex-showroom). While the BS6 Honda SP 125 is available in two trims - Drum and Disc. It falls in the price bracket of Rs 73,452 - Rs 77,652 (ex-showroom).

Dimensionally, the BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon is longer than the BS6 Honda SP 125. But the later is wider and taller than the former. The Pulsar 125 Neon has a longer wheelbase and better ground clearance. It is also available in the split seat variant. While Honda SP 125 comes with only a single seat setup.

Although BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon is considered to be the most powerful motorcycle, it is the BS6 Honda SP 125 that sets the benchmark in terms of features. The company has equipped the SP 125 with an all-digital instrument cluster that comes loaded with information and also gets a gear-position indicator. The bike features a LED headlight and a segment-first start-stop switch for better fuel efficiency. Pulsar125 Neon, on the other hand, gets a semi-analog semi-digital cluster and a halogen headlight unit. The bike retains most of the features from its BS4 counterpart. 

In terms of brakes, both the motorcycle gets a 240 mm disc brake in the front. Depending upon the variant, BS6 Pulsar 125 Neon also provides 170 mm drum brake while the BS6 Honda SP 125 features a 130 mm drum brake up front. Towards the rear, both these motorcycle features a 130 mm drum brake. Besides these, both of them stand to provide Combined Braking System (CBS). As for the suspension, they feature conventional telescopic forks in the front. The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon gets Nitrox gas-charged shorkers and the BS6 Honda SP 125 gets hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.

The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon is powered by a 124.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 12 bhp power and 10.9 Nm torque. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike also gets Bajaj's patented DTS-i technology. While the BS6 Honda SP 125 draws its power from an all-new 124cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that belts out a maximum power output of 11 bhp with 10.9 Nm of peak torque. Its engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and also features HET (Honda’s Eco Technology). Apart from this, the bike also gets a silent start system with ACG starter motor technology.

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon gets a sporty look. It is available in 3 colors namely Soler Red, Platinum Silver, and Neon Blue. While the Honda SP 125 looks very youthful and comes in four paint shades like Striking Green, Imperial Red Metallic, Pearl Siren Blue, and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
