Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 to be Held Annually, Says Piyush Goyal

The Global Expo has achieved groundbreaking results and made a crucial impact on the mobility sector.

The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, disclosed on the final day of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 that the event will now be held every year in India. The Expo was held from February 1 to 3 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, and it was a complete success. The minister said that the Mobility Expo would now become a yearly affair as it has achieved groundbreaking results and made a crucial impact on the mobility sector.

The Bharat Mobility Global Expo attracted 800 exhibitors from the automotive industry, and they showcased cutting-edge innovations. At the Expo, 150,000 visitors registered, including business professionals, therefore marking a new milestone. The Mobility Expo provides an imminent platform for auto industry players where they can display new innovations and develop partnerships every year.

At the event, over 600 automotive manufacturers from 13 international markets took part and displayed a wide range of technologies, products, and vehicles. The expo highlighted the global participation from countries like Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Germany. The huge participation from both global and domestic market players sheds light on the broad spectrum of products and services that are available for OEMs and aftermarkets.

The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, said, “This marks a significant milestone within the mobility sector, representing a crucial threshold for success. Every year, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo is going to be an institution of ideas and innovations that will further help demonstrate India's growth story to the people of our nation. This year's overwhelming success, marked by the participation of top industry players, innovators, and a massive audience, has solidified its importance as a crucial platform for the mobility sector. Software and technology companies are poised to play a transformative role by contributing up to 150 billion dollars to the mobility sector.”

In India, automotive exhibitions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and part makers were held separately every two years. But after the success of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the management is planning to merge both component and vehicle showcases next year. The event will then unify different segments of the auto sector.
