The BMW i5, an electric car with a 475-kilometer range, will be released in India the following year. The 335bhp vehicle will be offered alongside the gasoline-powered 5 Series sedan. The i5 M60 model has even more power, with a maximum output of 592 horsepower.

The BMW i5 is creating a lot of enthusiasm as the company's key product in the electric vehicle market. Following its global debut, the new BMW 5 Series sedan's arrival on the Indian market the following year is widely anticipated, however, BMW i5 launch date is yet to be announced. Production of the much anticipated EV has already started at BMW's renowned Dingolfing, Germany, plant, the automaker's largest European manufacturing facility. BMW i5 production start indicates that the Indian market can expect the launch soon.

Powerful Features of BMW i5

In its series of all-electric vehicles, BMW places the i5 midsize sedan between the i4 and i7 models. Along with the gasoline-powered 5 Series sedan, which has an identical design, the i5 will be sold. The amazing range of the i5 variant, also known as the eDrive40, is up to 475 kilometers on a single charge.

The BMW i5 eDrive40's engine produces a maximum output of 335 horsepower, and it can reach 96 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. For an exciting driving experience, power is transmitted to the rear wheels.

The foreign market will also sell the i5 M60 variation, which has even more power, in addition to the ordinary i5 model. The i5 M60 can sprint from 0 to 96 kmph in just 3.7 seconds thanks to its remarkable 592 bhp peak power output.

The i5 M60 offers improved traction and performance thanks to its all-wheel drive technology. It still offers a decent range of up to 411 kilometers on a single charge despite the higher power.

BMW i5 Digital Features

The latest version of the automaker's OS 8.5 software powers many of the sophisticated features that the BMW i5 is outfitted with. The remarkable 14.9-inch touchscreen entertainment system and the 12.3-inch completely digital instrument cluster command immediate attention within the cabin. The BMW i5 allows users to access streaming services and even play video games while the car is parked, following the example established by Tesla electric vehicles.

The next BMW i5's Advanced Driver aid System (ADAS), which includes a hands-free driver aid system for increased convenience and safety, is another noteworthy feature.
