Kawasaki hasn't increased the price of BS6 model and it gets a similar price tag as the BS4 special edition

Kawasaki India has launched the BS6/Euro5 compliant 2021 Z900 at a starting price of Rs 7.99 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom) in the country. Kawasaki Z900rs 2021 colours include Metallic Graphite Gray and Candy Lime Green. The company hasn't increased the price of BS6 model and it gets a similar price tag as the BS4 special edition which was launched in March 2020. The BS6 Kawasaki Z900 will be at loggerheads with Triumph Street Triple R and BMW F 900 R in the Indian market. Though, the Kawasaki Z900 BS6 price in India undercuts its aforementioned rivals by a huge margin.

The 2021 Kawasaki Z900 flaunts Z Sugomi inspired design with styling elements like a crouching stance, low-positioned head and upswept tail. Boasting of a stronger Frame and improved suspension settings, the motorcycle comes with all LED lighting including the headlamp, indicators and taillamps. It also gets 4.3-inch TFT colour instrumentation and three-level Kawasaki Traction Control as standard features. The company has also equipped the Z900 with Power Mode and four integrated Riding Modes - Sport, Road, Rain and Manual - along with Smartphone connectivity via RIDEOLOGY THE APP. Riding on Dunlop Sportsmax Roadsport 2 tyres, the bookings for the motorcycle have already commenced at company authorized dealerships.

Mechanically, it is powered by a BS6 compliant 948cc inline four-cylinder petrol engine which delivers cleaner emissions with a more exciting exhaust note. The engine develops a top power of 123bhp at 9500rpm and peak torque of 98.6Nm at 7700rpm while paired to a 6-speed manual transmission alongside clutch assist feature. The power output and torque performance haven't gone down despite the engine upgrade to BS6 emission levels. The motorcycle was originally scheduled to launch in March 2020 but it got delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic and hence, Kawasaki had to introduce a special edition of Z900 with the same BS4 powertrain. Stay tuned for more updates on the same.
