Automobile manufacturers in India are launching BS6 vehicles on a regular basis as the new BS6 emission norms are coming into force by 1st of April 2020. Mahindra and Mahindra aren’t behind in bringing BS6 vehicles to the Indian market with the recent exclusive images of Bolero arriving at an authorized dealership. In 2019, Mahindra had disclosed that the Bolero, one of its oldest vehicle had received BS6 certification for 1.5-litre diesel model. Bolero first arrived in the Indian market way back in the year 2000 and is one of Mahindra’s biggest selling models. Mahindra sold around 70,000 Bolero in 2019 and retains a cult appeal among customers in India.
Droom can inform it readers that BS6 Bolero deliveries will commence from April 2020 with bookings already open at several authorized dealerships. Today, we are bringing you the exclusive images of the BS6 compliant Bolero with some design updates like the all-new front grille, bumper and a revamped hood. The new Bolero looks premium than its BS4 predecessor due to the addition of black inserts and chrome bits with new headlamps. It complies with the new crash-test norms put into place in 2019 and takes safety to an all-new level.
BS6 compliant Bolero is powered by a 1.5 litre three-cylinder diesel engine that churns out 71.5 bhp of power output. As per the news received from a respective dealer, there will be three variants on offer comprising of B-4, B-6, and B6(O). As we have observed with the recent launches that BS6 models are costing more than the BS4 ones. We can expect the price hike of the New Mahindra Bolero to be around Rs 30,000 - Rs 50,000 depending on the variant selected. Mahindra has already announced that an all-new Scorpio will be launched in India probably by 2021.
