Hyundai Motor India donates Rs 7 Crore to PM Cares Fund in the fight against COVID19.

Coronavirus Pandemic has created havoc in India and across the globe. It has infected more than 17,265 Indian citizens while deaths due to the deadly virus stand at 543. The Central Government along with other State Government is doing all they can to control the spread of the virus having announced a lockdown across the entire nation. In their part towards supporting the Government and other health establishments in containing this disease, the Indian auto industry too has come forward in many ways. From making sanitizers to developing ventilators, face shields and donations; the auto industry has really come forward in these testing times. 

Hyundai Motor India in their endeavour to the cause has announced their decision to donate a sum of Rs 7 crore to the PM Cares Fund. This donation now brings a total amount of Rs 16 crore that the company has contributed towards the fight against COVID19. Prior to these Rs 7 crore, the Korean automaker had donated Rs 5 crore to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Relief Fund. It had also handed over COVID-19 Advanced Diagnostic Test Kits worth Rs 4 crore. Hyundai entered into a strategic partnership with Air Liquide Medical Systems to augment the production and supply of ventilators. It distributed PPEs, masks and other safety kits in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Haryana. Further the automaker has been distributing dry rations in Delhi and Tamil Nadu to adversely impacted sections of the society.
