The new variant is the base variant of the Punto Evo specifically. It will replace the Punto Pure as the most affordable car in Fiat’s India line-up. It is powered by the company’s 1.2-litre FIRE petrol engine. The engine makes 68hp at 6000rpm, and peak torque is 96Nm at 2500rpm. The car comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a hydraulic steering.
The bare-basics vehicle, just like the Punto Pure was, will be available in six colours – red, white, black, grey, bronze and dark grey. It is priced at ₹4.92 lakh as opposed to ₹4.66 lakh for the Punto Pure (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
