Honda CBF Concept takes design inspiration from CB900F from the early 1980s.

Honda, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has revealed the CBF Concept on its official website. The concept motorcycle was all set to make its world premiere at the 36th Osaka Motorcycle Show and the 47th Tokyo Motorcycle Show. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the event got canceled. But Honda did not let this pandemic stop them from making the big announcement. This sports motorcycle is a combination of classic design and modern technology. In the dimensions, the iconic sports bike concept measure 2,120mm in length, 790mm in width and 1,070mm in height.

Under the frame, the sports motorcycle concept is based on the company’s existing production model, CB1000R. It is powered by the same 998cc, inline-four-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. However, the company has not mentioned any figures but this engine is expected to produce 143 bhp power and 104 Nm torque which is the same as CB1000R

Revisiting Honda's CB series which completed 60 years, the CBF Concept draws inspiration from the CB900F (CB750F) in Japan. It features a circular headlamp, wide and straight handlebar, boxy fuel tank and a long & sleek tail section. The suspension comes with an inverted front fork and a single-side rear suspension arm, attached to a mono-backbone steel frame.
