Made-in-India Honda Elevate SUV Launched in South Africa

The Honda Elevate launched in South Africa is identical to the compact SUV available in the Indian market.

Honda has rolled out the Elevate in South Africa. The new SUV is manufactured in India, and it is identical to the Indian spec Elevate. The auto giant launched this compact SUV in India last year, and since then, the automaker has been unveiling the Elevate in global markets as well, including Japan. In the Indian market, the Elevate is priced between INR 11.58 lakh and INR 16.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Honda offers the SUV in four variants: V, VX, SV, and ZX.

In South Africa, the Japanese automaker will sell the Elevate in two variants: Comfort and Elegance. The Elevate Comfort manual is available at a price of 369,900 Rand (around INR 16 lakh), whereas the Elegance CVT is priced at 429,900 Rand (around INR 18.60 lakh).

The Elevate compact SUV is loaded with features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV comes equipped with cruise control, a multi-function steering wheel, and a digital MID unit. The South African model also comes with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that features adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam assist, automatic emergency braking, and more.

The new SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine that churns out 119 bhp of power and a peak torque of 145 Nm. The unit is mated to a six-speed manual and a CVT AT option.
