Huge Discounts on Offer on Older Model of Renault Duster

Renault recently launched the updated facelift model their Duster compact SUV in the Indian market. The new facelift version of Duster comes with aesthetic as well as feature upgrades as compared to the older model. Now that the showrooms have started stocking up on the new model of the Duster, the older version of compact SUV is up for grabs with massive discount schemes. This discount is aimed at clearing the stock of the older model as customers will look to buy the new facelift model of the Duster due to the miniscule difference between the prices of pre-facelift and facelifted model.

The current discount scheme on Duster compact SUV has benefits worth upto Rs. 1 lakh on the older models. This discount is only available on the diesel model of the old Duster SUV and the discount also depends on the size of the inventory that Renault dealerships have. The discount includes massive cash bonus of Rs. 50,000 and an equal amount as exchange bonus. Meanwhile, the petrol models are being offered with discounts upto Rs. 30,000. Once again, the discounts depend on the stock of the older Duster with the dealerships so it’d be wise to check with your local dealer beforehand. The discount may also climb up if the dealers are unable to clear older stock of pre-facelift Duster in time.

The older model of the Duster is not a lot different as compared to the facelifted model of the Renault Duster. The changes on the Duster include revised styling on the front end of the vehicle. The grille of the facelift Duster now has chrome work on it and the bonnet of the car has also been restyled. The fog lamp housings of the new model of SUV have also been reworked and also making a presence are LED DRLs that were not offered on previous models of the French automaker's SUV. The instrument cluster has also been reworked slightly while a major change comes in the form of a new steering wheel. Also present is a 17.64 cm touchscreen MediaNAV Evolution infotainment system that features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Voice Recognition and EcoGuide. Other features on the updated model of Duster include ARKAMYS audio, automatic AC, cooled glove box and cruise control among others.

When it comes to mechanicals there are no changes on the new facelift model of Duster. Both old and new models of Duster come with same engine options. The 1.5L diesel engine of the SUV comes in two states of tune – 85 Bhp-200 Nm and 108 Bhp-245 Nm. The low tune engine comes with a 5-speed manual and the higher tune engine comes with the option of a manual or an automatic. The petrol engine of the SUV is a 1.5L unit rated to deliver 106 Bhp and 140 Nm and comes with the option of a manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.
