2020 New-gen Hyundai Creta BS6 will be officially launched on March 17, 2020.

The 2020 new-gen Hyundai Creta has crossed 10,000 bookings mark even before the official launch on March 17 in the Indian market. The pre-bookings had commenced on March 2 at a token amount of Rs 25,000 while the new SUV made its first public appearance at the 2020 Auto Expo last month. The 2020 new-gen Creta will be offered with three BS 6 compliant engines, which are sourced from Kia Seltos, while coming with a host of exterior upgrades and new features. It will take on the likes of MG Hector, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks in the country.

The 2020 new-gen Hyundai Creta BS6 will be available in five trim levels: E, EX, S, SX, and SX (O). The dealer dispatch has already begun and the prospective buyers can now experience test drives of the new SUV at Hyundai dealerships. The front fascia gets a huge 3D cascading grille and bigger LED headlamps with boomerang-shaped DRLs. It also features new fog lamp housings and bumper while it rides on newly-designed 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The cabin boasts of several premium features such as plush dual-tone black and greige leatherette upholstery, Two-step rear seat reclining, D-cut steering wheel, Blue ambient lighting, 17.78cm digital instrument cluster and a 26.03cm HD infotainment system with BlueLink, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.

Mechanically, the 2020 new-gen Hyundai Creta will be available with three BS 6 compliant engines. The petrol variants will draw power from the naturally aspirated 1.5L MPi engine which will deliver 115bhp at 6300rpm and 144Nm at 4500rpm. It will be paired to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, while a CVT gearbox will be offered as optional. Coming to the diesel variants, they will source power from a 1.5L turbocharged U2 CRDi engine which will belt out 115bhp at 4000rpm and 250Nm between 1500-2750rpm. It can be availed with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There will also be high-performance 1.4L Kappa T-GDi engine which will have maximum power of 140bhp at 6000rpm and peak torque of 242Nm between 1500-3200rpm while linked to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
