The Korean carmaker has managed to sell over five million cars in our country.

Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL), India’s second largest carmaker, first came to India 19 years ago, and has now sold over five million cars in our market.

The carmaker sold its millionth car in India back in 2007, thanks to stellar sales of the Santro. The duration to each successive million has shortened for the carmaker - the journey from four million to five million sales took just two years.

Earlier this year YK Koo, MD and CEO, HMIL disclosed plans to launch eight products (including facelifts and refreshes) by 2020.
