Jeep Compass Trailhawk has become the first production SUV in India to cross the Great Indian Desert in one go which is spread in more than 1200+ kms. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk began the 1,280-kilometer voyage from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan which culminated in Kutch, Gujarat. During the three-day trip, it passed through Alsisar, Bikaner, Dhani, Army dunes, Small Rann, Kala Dungar, Virgin Dunes, Barner and Jaisalmer. Abhimanyu Alsisar, the Prince of Alsisar, was behind the steering wheel during this journey which saw varied terrain and extreme weather conditions with temperature ranging from over 40°C in the day to near-freezing temperatures at night.
The terrain of the Great Indian Desert is covered by shifting sand dunes that get sediments from the alluvial plains and the coast and rocky features, which the Jeep Compass Trailhawk managed due to its first-in-segment 'Rock Mode' feature. Despite the rocky cliffs, darkness, and dust, Abhimanyu Alsisar had a fun time during this voyage. Jeep Compass Trailhawk rides on 225/65R17 all-terrain tyres while featuring higher suspension. The SUV also sports the ‘Trail Rated’ badge, which signifies exceptional off-road performance in terms of traction, ground clearance, maneuverability, articulation, and water fording. The mission behind the adventure was to put the Jeep Compass Trailhawk to an ultimate challenge to demonstrate its innate ability and tough build to traverse across. the most difficult terrains.
