Kia Corporation has launched the Seltos Nightfall Edition for the American market. Being available with multiple new features, it is priced at $26,690 which is nearly Rs 19.42 Lakhs. The South-Korean automaker has made several premium safety features like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Lane Following Assist (LFA) as standard across the entire range of the SUV. Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition will not be launched in India.
The Seltos Nightfall Edition gets multiple first-grade features such as 10.25-inch touchscreen system with UVO link connectivity, remote key start and auto climate control. It rides on exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels which are finished in matte black. Other exterior elements include a blacked-out front grille, rugged stand-up roof rails and rugged side sills. The cabin also boasts of a flat-bottom steering wheel as standard. A special mention goes to Blindspot-Collision Avoidance Assist-Rear (BCA-R) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA) safety features. Dimension-wise, Kia Seltos Nightfall Edition is identical to the regular SUV with similar weight and boot capacity.
The SUV is powered by a 1.6L turbo GDI diesel engine which generates maximum power output of 175 bhp and peak torque performance of 264 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as standard alongside an all-wheel-drive system. The fuel economy of the Nightfall Edition is tagged at 27mpg which is equivalent to 11.48kmpl. Meanwhile, in other news, Kia Corporation recently released the first teaser for the upcoming all-new 2022 Sportage SUV. It will debut in July in South Korea while based on the brand's new design language – Opposites United. The fifth-generation SUV is also expected to launch in various international markets including America, Europe and India.
