The South Korean carmaker Kia is planning to launch the Kia EV3 in global markets in 2024. The EV3 is the brand’s fourth electric car, and it will be introduced first in Korea in July. The all-new Kia EV3 is expected to be launched in the Indian market sometime in 2025. The EV3 is considered the company’s most affordable and smallest electric vehicle in its lineup. Kia is anticipated to locally manufacture this new car in India and other markets. The automaker has revealed that it is aiming to expand its electric vehicle lineup and could also unveil the updated EV9 in India.
The upcoming EV3 is based on the E-GMP platform, just like its other siblings, the EV5 and EV9. In terms of features, the upcoming Kia EV3 will come equipped with ambient lighting, a blanked-off grille, automatic climate control, L-shaped LED DRLs, wireless charging, unique upholstery, phone connectivity, and a 30-inch-wide giant display followed by a digital driver display and 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The car’s steering wheel features controls like cruise control, drive mode, entertainment, and navigation.

Other features include a 12-inch heads-up display, dual-zone climate controls, a sunroof, a Harman Kardon music system, and Kia's newest AI assistant. Although the EV3 is the brand’s smallest EV, it is not small by Indian standards. It measures four metres in length, and it has a boot space of 460 litres. The boot space can be extended to 1,250 litres if the back seats are rolled down.
The Korean carmaker will offer the EV3 in two variants: standard and GT. The EV3 standard version will be powered by a 58.3 kWh battery pack, whereas the GT Line trim will house a bigger 81.4 kWh battery. The GT Line variant will offer a range of 560 km in one charge. The EV3 will also feature the brand’s latest ADAS technology. After its official launch in India, the EV3 will give tough competition to the likes of the Hyundai Kona Electric and BYD Atto3.
