Besides the much awaited, and highly updated Duke 390, KTM expands its naked bike line-up.

Coming 23, February, KTM will bring in its 2017 Duke range which currently comprises the 390 and the 200. But that’s just for now, because a new Duke 250 is soon to join the brand's naked bike line-up in India.

While it’s no news that the Duke 390 will get major mechanical and stylistic changes, the 250 will also come with most of the hardware (most importantly a new, lighter two-piece frame) and edgier styling updates like the new 390. It will however miss out in the LED headlights, the snazzy all-digital TFT instrument cluster and the stickier Metzeler tyres that its bigger sibling comes shod with. It will use MRF Revz C1 tyres instead.

The updated 250 on the other hand will receicve minor cosmetic tweaks and a BS-IV engine.

The Duke 250 sold abroad makes 31hp and 24 Nm from its single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, and those numbers, hopefully, will remain unchanged on the Indian bike.

Like the bike’s displacement, the 250 is likely to be priced somewhere mid-way between the 200 and 390 siblings. However, it remains to be seen how competitively KTM positions the bike. What’s nice is that the bike will be available in KTM showrooms starting from the day of launch.
