Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to unveil the all-new XUV700 in the Indian market. However, prior to the official debut which is apparently happening on August 15, 2021, it has been leaked online. Though the SUV had been spotted multiple times earlier too with heavy camouflage. Mahindra XUV700 production started on July 23, 2021 in Pune and the company has reportedly rolled out nearly 100 units of the SUV painted in black and white shades with the old logo of the brand in the first two days.
The leaked images show the XUV700 in a metallic brown shade. The front fascia flaunts a new grille with huge LED headlamps and LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) which are identical to the ones seen with the test mules. The LED fog lamp units have been integrated in the front bumper. The side profile is carried over from the XUV500, save for the introduction of flush-fitting door handles. As for the rear end, it boasts of L-shaped LED tail-lamps. Mahindra XUV700 features will include a massive panoramic sunroof, twin screens for digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system, auto booster headlamps, automatic climate control and wireless charging. The SUV will also debut Advanced Drive Assistance System (ADAS) which consists of several premium features.
The XUV700 will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variants will get a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine which develops top power of 197 bhp while the diesel variants will be powered by a 2.2L mHawk motor with a power output of 182 bhp. Needless to say, it will be the most powerful vehicle in both petrol and diesel fuel trims in the entire 7-seater SUV segment. The gearbox choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic unit.
The internet is abuzz with rumours that Mahindra is going to launch the Mahindra XUV700 on October 2, 2021 in the Indian market. It has been learnt that the SUV will have its world premiere on August 15, 2021 in India.
Mahindra XUV700 is expected to come with a starting price of Rs 17 Lakhs while the range-topping variant could cost somewhere around Rs 24 Lakhs. It will rival the likes of Tata Safari, MG Hector and Hyundai Alcazar in the Indian market.
