Maruti Suzuki India has rolled out a new mid-spec Delta+(O) variant of the Maruti Fronx in India. The Delta+(O) is positioned between the outgoing Zeta and Delta+ variants. The all-new Fronx variant is available at a starting price of INR 8.93 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to INR 9.43 lakh (ex-showroom). Unlike its sibling Delta+, the new trim misses out on the 1.0-L turbo-petrol engine. However, the variant features significant safety enhancements. Maruti has expanded its lineup to cater to mid-level buyers seeking an affordable and feature-packed car.
The most significant update on the Fronx Delta+(O) is the inclusion of curtain and side airbags, bringing the total number of airbags to six. The Delta+ variant, on the other hand, only features dual frontal airbags. The Delta+(O) has now become the most affordable trim in the Maruti Fronx lineup to feature six airbags as standard. The new variant costs INR 15,000 more than its sibling.

Powering the Maruti Suzuki Fronx Delta+(O) is a 1.2-litre petrol engine that churns out maximum power of 89 bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm, providing sufficient power for driving on highways and in cities. Buyers can select from the 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT transmission. Another significant change to the new Delta+(O) over the outgoing Delta+ is the removal of the spare tyre. Instead, the latest variant comes with a tyre repair kit as standard, and the spare wheel is now available as an accessory.
In terms of features, the new Delta+(O) comes equipped with a 7-inch infotainment system along with Android auto support and wireless Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, ESC, electronically foldable ORVMs, keyless entry, a 4-speaker audio system, and rear parking sensors. In the Indian market, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx comes at an ex-showroom price range of INR 7.51 to INR 12.87 lakh. Apart from Maruti, Tata Motors is also expanding its portfolio in India. Recently, Tata Motors updated its subcompact SUV portfolio by unveiling new versions of the Tata Nexon.
