Maruti Suzuki S-Assist is an industry-first AI-based virtual car assistant for Nexa customers

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has unveiled its industry-first, AI-based virtual car assistant app, S-Assist. As of now, it will be available for Nexa customers only. The automaker will be introducing the feature for the Arena customers sometime later. The Nexa customers can access the S-Assist through the ‘Maruti Suzuki Rewards’ mobile app for free of cost. The S-Assist app is available for both Android and iOS users. Initially, the services will be offered in English only. The automaker plans to introduce other languages at a later stage.

“Digitization of car service experience and bringing ease to customer car ownership is our motto. We are proud to announce the launch of India’s first voice-enabled virtual car assistant, S-Assist, to strengthen the digital experience of our customers. S-Assist is a complimentary service that offers quick access to vehicle features, troubleshooting, and driving tips on customers’ smartphones. It brings real-time information to customers for their vehicle-related queries,” as commented by Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Director, Service, Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

Maruti Suzuki S-Assist: Benefits

This 24/7 virtual car assistant app will provide multimedia content like Do-it-Yourself(DIY) videos, digital literature, workshop assistance, easy & quick navigation. Besides this, you also get a chance to search an image or take pictures of the vehicle parts through your smartphone, upload them, and get an instant explanation regarding that via the app. Moving on, you get access to over 4120 Maruti Suzuki workshops across India. Now, you can easily call and navigate to the nearest Maruti workshop whenever in need.

Besides these, Maruti Suzuki had launched an innovation program called MAIL (Mobility and Automobile Innovation Lab) in January 2019. The main aim of this program is to foster innovation through collaboration with startups. Talking about S-Assist, it has been co-created with a Delhi-based AI startup named Xane.AI. Moreover, it is one of the 13 projects that is being pursued by the company to help other startups to launch their ideas.
