According to Maruti Suzuki, the Subscribe program has seen 292 percent growth in FY 22-23. In terms of ownership experience, a customer who drives away a Maruti Suzuki under the subscription model only needs to pay the monthly fees and not a penny more. Maruti Suzuki takes care of the RTO expenses, first-year insurance and its subsequent renewal, periodic vehicle maintenance and roadside assistance for a hassle-free experience.

MSIL introduced the Maruti Suzuki Subscribe program in India three years ago, allowing consumers to drive home cars on a monthly subscription basis. Such subscription/finance schemes were previously only found in expensive luxury car models, and Maruti Suzuki appears to have succeeded in democratizing such a program. Instead of purchasing a car for its ex-showroom value and then paying RTO and insurance fees, clients can enter into an agreement with Maruti Suzuki to own the vehicle of their choice on a monthly subscription basis, similar to any other digital streaming service that we are now familiar with.

The program is now active in 25 cities across the country and has grown at an exponential rate in the last year.

According to Maruti Suzuki, the subscription program grew by 292% in fiscal year 22-23. In terms of ownership, a consumer who purchases a Maruti Suzuki through the subscription model just needs to pay the monthly costs and nothing else. For a hassle-free experience, Maruti Suzuki handles RTO fees, first-year insurance, and subsequent renewal, periodic vehicle maintenance, and roadside assistance. However, there are several restrictions on the use of a subscribed car. Customers must select a subscription term ranging from one to five years, and the car cannot be driven more than 10,000 or 25,000 kilometers per year, depending on the terms of the agreement.

Maruti Suzuki currently offers the subscription service on a wide range of its vehicles, including the Celerio, WagonR, Swift, Dzire, Ertiga, and Brezza SUV. The subscription plan is also available for the recently announced Fronx, Grand Vitara hybrid, and premium Invicto hybrid MPV. Monthly subscription fees for the WagonR range from Rs 12,783 to Rs 61,860 for the hybrid Invicto.

If you live in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Jaipur, Indore, Mangalore, Mysore, Kochi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Lucknow, Nagpur, or Visakhapatnam, you can subscribe to a Maruti Suzuki car.
